Due to the omission of an aperture ring on Canon EF lenses, this adapter incorporates a built-in diaphragm to afford control over the amount of light reaching the sensor for greater exposure flexibility. This iris also features a de-clicked design for smooth, quiet transitions and near infinite adjustment of the aperture.
This adapter will not allow for electronic control over lens functions. In order to function with automatic metering you will need to place the camera in manual or aperture priority mode, where the camera will utilize stop-down metering to determine the appropriate shutter speed.
