Presented as the first entry in their Value Line of 500-series compatible products, the Artistic MicPre SE from Fredenstein is a versatile yet affordable mic preamp with a fully discrete gain stage and DI input, delivering top-of-the-line performance. With a wide gain control range of 20 to 65 dB, a -20 dB attenuation pad, and a 120 Hz high-pass filter, you have everything you need to capture the hottest signals and get clean, punchy recordings every time.
The onboard high-impedance 1/4" instrument DI jack makes it easier to track keyboards, synths, drum machines, and even guitar pickups for DAW processing or reamping applications. Further utilities that enhance the versatility of the MicPre SE include a switchable 48V phantom power function and a polarity inversion feature. The eight-LED peak meter gives you a wide 50 dB range for precise reading of your input signals, ensuring you never record clipped takes.
