FUJIFILM X-H Overview
Dedicated to the FUJIFILM X-H2S, the FAN-001 Cooling Fan attaches to the back of the camera body, when the screen is flipped out, and serves as an active cooling system for the camera to reduce the chance of overheating. This fan is especially useful when recording longer takes and working in warmer climates.

It does allow heat to dissipate when you are in a hot environment and have been shooting video for a while.
Works fine but causes horizontal screen flip

The fan works fine - in general for my uses I don't find the fan to be too loud or intrusive. I don't use on camera mics (typically I use wireless) so I can't comment on if the audio can be picked up from a hotshoe mic. Also, as mentioned online, with the fan attached, you cannot close the LCD screen, so it's either 90 or 180 degrees away from the camera. This is, unfortunately, where I found an issue: I use the screen oriented facing to the left of the camera. Without the fan, the image is shown correctly. With the fan installed in the same position, the image is flipped (not the UI). The image records correctly, and outputs to a separate monitor correctly, however, the image on the LCD is suddenly backwards. This makes framing or camera moves difficult to pull off using the LCD as a pan left moves the image on the screen right. When the LCD is facing towards the back of the camera (as though you were behind the camera) the image is correct. I just received an email from Fujifilm CS that the fan introduces this behavior because it is not meant to cover the side venting of the fan. It would heat up the LCD and diminish the fan's cooling effectiveness. Unfortunately I had to drop my stars down to 3 since this appears to be a strange development choice and really limits the use of the fan. I'd rather have more use of the LCD with the fan at 50% effectiveness as opposed to 100% fan effectiveness with the LCD at an angle I can't use.
