H&Y Filters Swift Photography Starter Set (67-82mm)

The RevoRing Variable ND3-ND1000 & Circular Polarizer Filter from H&H Filters provides a combination of a variable neutral density filter with a 1.5 to 10 stop increase in exposure, paired with a circular polarizer. The combination of these functions results in a filter well suited to landscape photography and more. The RevoRing is a unique adapter ring with unique self-retracting blade technology with threaded ends to secure to the front of any lens with a filter thread size of 67-82mm. Each threaded blade has been designed to overlap, completely removing any possibility of light leaks.

Increasing neutral density allows for longer exposure times, increasing blur and emphasizing movement. It can also be used for finer aperture control over the depth of field, making it easier to isolate the subject from the background by increasing bokeh. The circular polarizer component of the filter helps eliminate reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from nonmetallic surfaces. It also reduces haze in landscapes and increases the saturation of skies and foliage.

The 67-82mm Swift Magnetic Bridge Ring for RevoRing from H&Y Filters is made to connect the Base Modules and Top Accessories in the Swift System. This variant is built with magnetic thread that can be placed on top of the magnetic clip-on filters to make the setup compatible with accessories like the Magnetic Matte Box, Magnetic Square Filter Holder, and Magnetic Collapsible Lens Hood.

The Swift Magnetic Filter Holder from H&Y Filters is a "C" Swift System module. It requires an "A" base module like the Swift Magnetic Variable Adapter or the Magnetic screw-in adapter for wide angle lens, plus a "B" module like the Swift Bridge Ring. A drop-in filter rack can be used to utilize a polarizing filter or a Swift magnetic VND filter. The filter holder can be used for holding up to three 100mm filters.

The 100 x 150mm K-Series Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 0.6 Filter from H&Y Filters is a rectangular filter that helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. A graduated neutral density filter with a soft-edged line of transition is particularly useful for images that do not have a strongly defined transition between the sky and the foreground. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 2-stop reduction in light from entering the lens.

100 x 150mm K-Series Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density Filters are constructed from Gorilla glass for enhanced scratch-resistance, increased clarity, and color fidelity. Each side of this filter includes eight layers of anti-reflection coating to prevent internal ghosting and reflections as well as an anti-smear, nano coating for an improved beading effect when in contact with water or oil for greater cleaning efficiency.

The 100 x 150mm K-Series Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 0.6 Filter is pre-installed with an H&Y Filters 100 x 150mm Quick Release Magnetic Filter Frame for use with an H&Y Filters 100mm K-Series Filter Holder. When combined with a 100mm K-Series Filter Holder that is configured with a pair of magnetic filter slots, filters each with a Quick Release Magnetic Filter Frame can be magnetically stacked in front of a camera lens instead of inserted only within a specific number of filter holder slots, allowing the user to determine the number of filters to be applied, all of which can be quickly installed, repositioned, or switched with a different filter needed for other subjects or changing lighting conditions.

While in use, front-facing center finder rulers on the side sections of this Quick Release Magnetic Filter Frame help enable precise positioning of the 100 x 150mm graduated neutral density filter, relative to another filter it is stacked on. This can further complement the use of the 100 x 150mm graduated neutral density filter whose effect can be adjusted to better suit changing lighting conditions or creative demands by moving it up or down. The Quick Release Magnetic Filter Frame also serves to reinforce the edges of the 100 x 150mm graduated neutral density filter, enhancing that filter's rigidity and promoting sharp results by helping to ensure that the filter remains flat. A filter pouch for storage and transport, as well as a microfiber cleaning cloth for filter maintenance, are also provided.
