4-1/2 years later and dead :(
It was an affordable $225 musical bass that was great for both office and living room TV use. Except for the pop noise when turned on. Now it's headed for the landfill since it no longer works. I would have loved to use it for much longer.
Was great, until it wasn't.
I had a read a prior review that experienced the same issue I had, stopped working after about 20 days. Initially I was impressed with it, had paired with a set of YU2's.. was great, albeit expensive. Never had an issue with the YU2's and considered myself fairly loyal to Kanto.. doubt I'll try my luck with another sub from them.

Good thump for a sub this size. I paired it with Kanto YUK speakers and it sounds awesome.

Powerfull bass
I bought these with the Kanto yu and it is great. Easy to set up it turns on and off on its own, and it is so powerful when I upgrade the speakers I can keep using these.

The sub 8 works perfectly with my yu4's book shelf speakers.If your looking for a perfect balance between listening to music and watching movies the sub 8 will do the job.The sealed enclosure gives you a very very tight bass and that's why I bought the sub in the first place,mainly for music.As for movies?I live in a detached house and I can hear the sub from the street outside,It can get down pretty low.If your looking for a sub to enhance the bass for listening to music your search ends here.

I purchased this to pair with Kanto Bookshelf speakers. The quality of sound and build is fantastic! Very deep adjustable bass. Very clear sound. I would recommend this sub.
Kanto Sub8 is a nice little sub-woofer
I got the Kant Sub8 to pair with the Kanto YU6 powered speakers for my desktop setup. It is a perfect pair, making a decent full range audio setup for my computer. Together they sound very nice, open and can get LOUD if I desire. I recommend these Kanto speakers.
