With a TAA-compliant CAC smart card reader, 60W of power pass-through, and additional ports, this is a robust solution for users who need access to a card reader without sacrificing one of their Surface device's USB-C ports.
The USB-C host connection doesn't hinder the Surface device's built-in kickstand, and the placement of the card reader keeps your screen more private during transactions. When attached to your Surface device, this adapter provides a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port that reaches speeds up to 10 Gb/s and supports up to 60W of pass-through power. Using the DisplayPort Alt-Mode of the USB-C port, you can output up to 4K resolution at 60 Hz. Connect a second 4K display at 60 Hz using the HDMI 2.0 port.
