MILAB VM-44 LINK MP Overview
The VM-44 Link from MILAB is an active cable version of the VM-44 microphone and the smallest iteration of the series. The microphone capsule and first-stage of the amp are separated from the main amp by a 9.8' cable, making it easy to position the mic, even in small spaces. The VM-44 Link is well suited for field recordings, stereo setups, and as a low-profile podium mic when combined with the TS-44 Table Stand (available separately).
The microphone features a professional, small-diaphragm condenser element that works well on vocals and is ideal for transient-rich sources like acoustic guitar, piano, and drums. With its finely tuned frequency response and discrete design, it excels both in the studio and on stage.
The cardioid pattern helps you stay focused on your intended sound sources, but the capsule can also be exchanged with optional omnidirectional and supercardioid alternatives. With the -12 dB pad engaged, the VM-44 can handle up to 140 dB SPL, providing enough headroom for a wide range of acoustic or electric sources. The VM-44 Link includes a mic clip and windscreen.
