New and seasoned builders alike can obtain a clean build with the MSI Z790 PROJECT ZERO LGA 1700 ATX Motherboard. With reversed connections and headers, the PROJECT ZERO reduces cable clutter and streamlines the installation process.

At the heart of the PROJECT ZERO is an LGA 1700 socket, which allows you to install your choice of 12th, 13th, or 14th Gen Intel Core, Pentium Gold, and Celeron processor. Four dual-channel DDR5 RAM slots allow you to install up to 192GB of memory with a max operating speed of 7200 MHz for greater render and multitasking speeds. Install your storage drives with six SATA ports and four M.2 PCIe interfaces. With multiple expansion slots, you can easily install a wide range of graphics and utility cards, giving you enhanced performance for gaming, production, and more. Between the back panel, front panel connector, and internal headers, you get access to a variety of USB 2.0, 3.2 Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 2x2 ports. Built-in Bluetooth 5.4 technology enables you to leverage wireless devices for a cable-free peripheral experience. Wi-Fi 7 and a 2.5 GbE LAN port are available, allowing you to connect to your network wirelessly and wired, respectively. The PROJET ZERO is compatible with the Windows 11 operating system.

Enhanced Cooling

Equipped with a variety of heat sinks found around the VRM, M.2 drives, I/O, and chipset, the PROJECT ZERO enhances thermal performance on a passive level. Fully Fan Control allows you to view your fan performance profiles and adjust parameters to your liking and also auto detects your fans to optimize cooling while keeping your system quiet. Additionally, dedicated pump fan headers support liquid cooling AiO systems.

Power System

A unique 14+1+1 duet rail power system maintains performance across the 2 oz copper, 6-layer PCB, supporting a variety of high-powered components with ease. The PROJECT ZERO incorporates double 8-pin power connectors, full digital power design, and Core Boost technology, all working together to enhance throughput for your components. BIOS settings allow you to engage with overclocking capabilities with Performance Switch, PBO Thermal Point, and Config TDP systems.

DIY Friendly

Rear-placed connectors make it easy to route your cables, giving your system a neat and clean look. System Saver functionality assists with updating your BIOS and giving you multiple boot options. You also get an XL Clip, EZ Debug LED, Keep Out Zone, a pre-installed I/O shield, and Windows 11 certification, all working together to ensure your system runs properly.

Expansion Capabilities

MSI's Lightning Gen 5 technology works along the various interfaces to expand power utility for graphics cards, giving you up to 128 GB/s throughput. Surface Mount Technology PCIe 5.0 slots reduce electrical noise while maintaining throughput.
