The 2024 version of the Curated Kit for 35mm and 120 Film Scanning by Negative Supply provides carefully selected items by the team at Negative Supply to help you scan almost all formats and sizes of film with a digital camera. Included in the kit are the Pro Film Carrier 35 MK2 and Pro Film Carrier 120 MK2, which allow for expanded coverage of alternative formats, provide for flatter and smoother film advance, and offer professional build quality and performance. The Basic Riser XL copy stand accepts all digital cameras and macro lens combinations, including those with a vertical grip.
Accessory Support
Part of the intentions of creating this kit was to provide out-of-the-box solutions for any other film format with the use of popular tools offered by the brand. Each film carrier comes equipped to support half-frame, standard, and full-border scanning, thanks to their full-border cassettes which allow you to go beyond the sprocket holes. The 120 film scanner supports all standard 120 formats with masks from 6 x 4.5 up to 6 x 9, and it also includes a complementary mask for 120 full-border scanning.

- Pro Film Carrier 35 MK2 and Light Source Adapter: This adapter features a metal design with interchangeable internal cassettes, roller modules, and guides to scan standard 35mm negatives, panoramic negatives, and half-frame negatives. Smooth and consistent film advance is guaranteed with the CNC machined-aluminum film advance knob.
- Pro Film Carrier 120 MK2 and Light Source Adapter: Scan a roll of 120 film in 60 seconds or less, the Pro Film Carrier 120 MK2 allows full-size scans of 6 x 4.5, 6 x 6 6 x 7, and 6 x 9 film, ensuring sharpness thanks to its double S-curve design.
- 4 x 5 Light Source Basic MK2 (99 CRI): Compact and bright, these are great light pads for both color and black and white film. The 4 x 5 Light Source Basic MK2 is color accurate and two stops brighter than the MK1.
- In-Line Power Switch: An on/off switch for your light source.
- Basic Riser XL: Combines upgrades from Negative Supply's Basic Riser MK3 (solid steel base, anodized aluminum central column, and design cues from the Pro Riser MK3) with a longer baseboard, which allows cameras with grips to be used and an even taller column to allow a wider range of macro lenses for 4 x 5 scanning. This is ideal for users looking to scan 35mm and 120 with nearly any camera and macro lens combination. Allows up to 90mm macro lenses for 4 x 5 scanning.
