The Bendie-Brite Folding Bi-Color LED Ring Light from Raya measures 18" in diameter and produces soft light useful for illuminating your vlog, selfie, video conference, or webcam chat. It has a unique feature great for anyone on the go - it folds in half to an 11" semi-circle for compact storage or transport. The ring light minimizes shadows, produces an even quality of light, and creates circular catchlights in your subject's eyes.
The light has a color range of 2700 to 5600K to blend seamlessly with ambient or room light, or just for creative expression. The light intensity is variable - a real asset if you don't want to hassle with figuring out numbers or percentages. A smartphone holder on a flexible arm is included for positioning options, and the spring-loaded clamp fits most smartphones measuring up to 3.25" wide. The included wireless remote allows the color temperature and intensity to be controlled from up to 50' away, and also operates the ring light's automatic preset color and brightness functions.
The FRN-NFP-18 operates on a multi-voltage AC power supply suitable for worldwide use, or by using two separately-available NF-P batteries. It features a sleep function to preserve battery power, and wakes from the sleep mode to previously set color temperature and brightness levels.

A Great Light for A Beginner Like Me
I now own two Raya 18 rig lights. I love them because they fold and they are so light, making them easy to take on trips. I also like that they can be powered by relatively cheap NP batteries. While I have a pair of GVM lights, they are bulky and heavy. I will be selling the GVM lights soon.
Big and bright ring light
The Bendie-Brite Bi-Color 18 inch ring light has a ton of different use cases for me. I have the little brother to this light and this light seems to take everything to the next level. I love how lightweight these lights are. They really can be mounted almost anywhere. Even with two small batteries attached the weight is very reasonable. This light has a lot of options that make life a little easier. Some of those options are... -being able to run this off Sony batteries is great, having quick buttons with presets on them is also nice, having dials to get to the exact settings you want is also great, being bi-color also makes life easier, it also comes with a remote and finally, it comes with a nice carrying case. So far, I've used this for zoom calls and top-down videos with the cell phone mounted on the removable phone holder. This is going to be a great addition to my kit. Portable, Light, and Easy to Use
This is one of the easiest to use lights I've ever owned. A ring light is good for nice even lighting on YouTube-type videos. Put the light on a stand, point your camera through the light, and place yourself in front of it for excellent results. This light facilitates this type of shooting by putting the light level control and color temperate control on big knobs at the front of the light that are easy to reach and operate. The light is very bright and goes down very low when you need it to. I was shooting at only 12 out of 100 for good skin tones in a dim room. Also good is that the light doesn't have a fan, so there's no fan noise to interrupt your video. The bigger the ring light the better (in my opinion) and this one at 18-inches is big enough for my purposes. It's built of plastic and is surprisingly lightweight. It folds in half, which makes it even easier to transport or store. This light will also prove useful for shooting products or detail shots that need nice even lighting. I haven't noticed any negatives with this light in particular, but one thing to realize about all ring lights is that they shine circle-shaped "catchlights" in your eyes when you face them. (See the "Girls Like You" music video for an example of this.) Some professionals don't like the way these catchlights look, but other people don't care. Personal preference. Bright, soft, versatile light.
This ring light works great. It gives a really nice, soft and consistent light for faces, which is perfect for zoom calls, vlogs, testimonials or whenever you need a soft pretty light. And it is super bright for its size and cost. I'm really impressed with the amount of light it provides. This can really come in handy if you are battling against a bright background or sunlight coming into a room. I love that it has controls for brightness and color temperature. Being able to dial in the brightness of the light with a dimmer dial is essential when you want a beauty light. It has a smooth dimmer, allowing you to set the exact brightness to remove dark shadows or hot spots on the subject. And having control of the color temperature is also necessary, so you can use it in all available lighting. Set it to for indoor lighting (warm/orange) to match those lights in the room, or go more blue if there is daylight in the room etc.. By matching the color temperature of the lighting in the room, you can get a more consistent look. The color temperature dial lets you go from 2700 (orange) all the way to 5600 (blue) and any color in between. This is always great to have in a light. There is also a memory feature so you can store the settings of the light, so if you need to power down, you can turn it on and go right back to the same brightness and color temperature you had. That's a great feature. The phone holder worked well with just the right amount of tension to position it where you need it to be. I loved that it had 4 different cold shoes. Two on top and two on the bottom of the ring. This allows you to add accessories where you want, like an external mic, makeup mirror, arm, ball head, etc. This is really handy. Being able to run on ac power or battery is fantastic. Comes with the power supply. And I love to have a battery option. Makes moving the light around super easy. This light also has a battery display to let you know when they are losing power which is useful. The included remote control is a great addition. This is perfect when you are working alone and you're the one on camera, like when vlogging, or on a zoom call. You can control the brightness and color temperature while in position without the need to run back and forth to use the controls on the light. This is fantastic. And finally I love that this light folds and all the accessories fit it into its compact, well-made case. Having a compact case to keep everything together not only protects the light when traveling, but also makes sure all the necessary parts stay together and don't get lost or forgotten. I love that. Perfect for streaming video
Bought this for my wife to use for work conference calls. For the price, I was skeptical as to how well it would work. Well, once set up I was pleasantly surprised by this product. The controls over hue and brightness are fantastic. It's almost magical how they are adjusted with the swipe of a finger. Lots of options for placement with the base my kit came with. I highly recommend this product for anyone who works from a desk doing meeting and such.
Good little auxiliary light.
The light itself is very handy but the phone mount is very fragile and not very useful. I use it for photographing student projects and it works great for that. The phone holder is very fragile and does not hold the phone well so I don't use that feature. The light controls take a bit of getting used to but they work well overall.
Fast way break your phone.
The phone mount tightening plate is larger than the shoe and it won't stay in the shoe... When you twist or turn phone to get the right angle, the mount will lose it's grip and drop your phone onto the floor. You'll have to keep tightening the screw to make sure your phone doesn't drop. But it will drop because it the shoe is too small for the mount. Plus, after about 5 uses, the springs inside my phone mount popped out. So now it doesn't hold a phone now at all. Waste of money.
