- Meticulously engineered and tuned, the NTH-100s reproduce the details and nuances of your audio, be it a single sound source, a mix in progress, or the final product.
- The unique ergonomic earcups are contoured to the shape of the ear for superior acoustic performance, with memory foam cushions ensuring excellent isolation from external noise.
- Their low impedance and high sensitivity make them very easy to drive with any interface, mixer, headphone amplifier, or mobile device.
- Each earcup features a custom voice coil with a four-layer core made of ultrahigh-tension aluminum alloy mated to a three-layer Mylar diaphragm.
- Combined with a rare-earth neodymium magnet and an innovative phase plug inspired by the award-winning NTG5 microphone, these high-grade components ensure an accurate frequency and phase response across the whole audible spectrum for an incredibly articulate listening experience.
- Crafted with comfort in mind, the NTH-100s feature ergonomic earcups with a bidirectional adjustment system and memory foam cushions.
- In addition to ensuring excellent sound isolation, the headphones provide a custom-fit feel for any head size or shape, even for people who wear glasses.
- The earpads and headband cushions are covered with Alcantara fabric, a premium material often used in sports cars and high-end fashion. It is supremely comfortable to the touch, highly breathable, and very soft.
- The company's CoolTech gel is integrated into the cushions to absorb and dissipate heat, actively cooling your ears to reduce wearing fatiguegreat for creators, mixing engineers, and podcasters working in long, arduous sessions.
- The headphones feature a fully adjustable headband with the company's innovative FitLok system, a locking mechanism that keeps the earcups positioned exactly the way you set them, so you get the same fit every time.
- Even while wearing the headphones, a smooth turn of each side's FitLock is all it takes to lock or unlock the headband adjustment.
- Ports on both the left and right earcups allow the cord to hang on either side while the locking connector prevents accidental disconnects.
- The flexible, easy-roll cable is also highly durable, user-replaceable, and equipped with integrated strain relief.
- Cable variants are available in 7.9 and 3.9' lengths and a variety of colors for maximum convenience and channel-specific color coding that matches the same four channel colors found in Rode Connect software and on the RODECaster Pro.
- With a 3.5mm mini plug on the cable and an included screw-on 1/4" adapter, the NTH-100 are compatible with most playback devices and monitoring systems.
- The stainless spring-steel headband was tested under pressure equal to 25 years of use, and the final construction was stressed with thousands of pulls, bends, tugs, rotations, and stretches. Plus, the headphones were subjected to environmental trials ranging from climate and water exposure to drop and scratch tests.
- Wires used to link the earcups are rated to withstand more than 55 pounds of force, while the cable and earcup sockets are rated to more than 26 pounds of force.
- Regardless of the cable ID rings you use or to which side you connect the cable, there are three points of earcup identificationsmall colored rings around the earcup wires, braille (raised dots) on each earcup, and L/R letters inside the earcups.
- The NTH-100s feature a modular design: the earpads, headband, and cable are all user-customizable, with four colors available. This not only significantly increases the lifespan of the headphones, but also allows you to customize them to suit your style. A set of cable ID rings in four colors is included.

RODE NTH-100 Reviews
Good for Podcasting and comfortable
Good quality build and sound great for podcasters. Lightweight and portable. Wouldn't recommend for mixing/producing music or for extended listening sessions. Recommend Beyer DT-770 for optimum comfort and excellent sound reproduction. But these are more portable and a bit lower price.
Cheap Flimsy Design. Broke Already.
It's already broken. Definitely a let down because I loved the design. I didn't even bother to send them back or create this review at the time out of the frustration of it all. I purchased a nice headphone stand for it and everything... :( One day I just sat at the computer, reached for the headset and grabbed it by the the earcup, and it just broke. It's a clean break. It wasn't negligience or anything preventable. They just broke like they are made from edible plastic. They are comfy and the sound is nice. But they should invest in a more durable material.
A HUGE Letdown
I am a professional photographer, film maker, editor, and camera operator/broadcaster. I depend on good closed back headphones to filter out external noise and keep in the audio that I do hear when on set. And I have to say, with all the hype, these were such a huge let down and disappointment. Don't get me wrong, there are nice features as far as the design goes, but the audio quality and the band fit are horrible. They are however very comfortable when wearing for an extended amount of time and they look very sexy hanging on my rig. I purchased these for the expected comfort and the closed back features. They were very loose on my head in the tightest setting which is unusual, and the tones coming through were not nearly as powerful as advertised. I would expect atleast flat, but there is hardly any bass as compared to other pro Sony series, and it just feels very washed out and almost bland. Disclaimer: I am tone deaf and hearing loss to 65% which could play a major part in what I do and don't hear. But that still being said, the Sony Pro headphones, even though they aren't very comfortable, I still hear a lot better and more.
Great Headphones
Saw these headphones listed as PC Magazine's Best for Affordable Studio Headphones, and I totally agree. I haven't used them for any studio stuff, but they're great for gaming and streaming. Very pleased with what you get for the price. Comfortable, great sound, and cool features (can plug into the left or right side, plug has a lock on it, comes with color bands to identify each chord, adjustable head band).
Love them
I bought the RodeCaster Pro ll entire bundle set, and at the end of my purchase, I was offered the chance at a free item, I chose these headphones. I got two other headphones in the bundle set, and they are wonderful, but I love this headset. This is the set that I use, I have the one of the other sets for my guest speakers, and then I haven't even opened the other.
The best in anything close to the same price range
I have used Sennheiser headphone for years but the Rode's are the extremely well designed! Got 2nd pair
Easy interface and great sound quality
I was upgrading our studio's old Panasonic RP-HT161 headphones to these ones, and wow, it was a huge difference. I know, going from $20 headphones to these, yeah, no surprise they are way more comfortable. My guests in the studio noticed the change right away and also liked they could have the cord in either the left or right ear can. I always swear by my Sony MDR7506 ones that about the same price, but these are way better for longer record sessions or wearing all day. We now own about three of these.
Terrible engineering
Rode has a great and well deserved reputation. But these headphones are terrible. a metal strap on the ear cup and the metal strap on the over the head part are held together by a flimsy plastic connector which breaks easily. Never again will I buy these otherwise excellent phones.
