Small, fast memory for working or backups
This thing is small and solid and because there are no moving parts I have no problem tossing it in my camera bag or sticking it in my pocket. 2TB is enough storage for a whole lot of images or backing up you laptop in record time. It's fast enough to work with video files and not feel like you are being slowed down by your hardware.

More than I expected!
I've never owned an external drive before so I was pleasantly surprised when I received the SanDisk drive. It is slim, easy to carry, fast and very efficient for my use as a source for storing and accessing my RAW file images taken on my wonderful Fuji X-T3 camera. I've always received prompt and professional service from Photo Video which just adds to my complete satisfaction.
It gets very hot
I know others mentioned this, it is a concern to me. This drive gets very hot when it is plugged into my M1 Mac laptop. My other disc drives stay cool and they are in use all the time. This is hot even when not in use. Is this normal? I have had internal SSD drives on my laptops for a while and never had this problem.
Used with macbook air m1 worked good.
Had some issues with a different ssd from another manufacturer that did not work in the m1 mac air. The sandisk unit did work!
Exactly what I wanted
what I particularly appreciated was other than the password, no other security feature such as encryption was involved. This was very important to me because this Hard Drive is a backup to my desktop so security is not critical.
