SparkFun Red Hat Co.Lab Light Sensing Kit

Breadboards are an easy way to experiment with electrical circuits. In this kit, you'll find everything you need to understand the basics of a light-sensing motor.

The Red Hat Co.Lab Light Sensing Kit will help you:

1. Learn how breadboards work through experimenting with simple circuits using a breadboard, jumper wires, batteries, a photocell, and a motor.

2. Explore how to track changes in light using a sensor and how these changes can affect the speed of a motor.

This kit was inspired by the projects and people featured in the Red Hat Open Source Stories film, The Science of Collective Discovery. We hope it helps you imagine ways to repurpose common objects to gather information and affect the environment.
