A solid support for your snare is a vital tool for any drummer, and the TAMA STAR Snare Stand delivers this and more, with an easily adjustable basket that accommodates 12 to 15" diameter snare drums and TAMA's patented Glide-Tite grip joint for a supersecure height adjustment. Sporting technology from TAMA's tom stands, such as a True-Sound Insulation Mute and 1.12" diameter base section tubing, you get an extremely reliable snare stand that transfers as little energy to the stand as possible, maximizing resonance and projection. And thanks to oversized rubber feet with retractable spikes and extraheavy double-braced legs, your stand is guaranteed to remain in place during performances on any stage or floor.

Omni-Ball Tilter

TAMA's Omni-ball system allowing for unparalleled angle adjustment of the snare. This provides the same flexible yet stable angle settings found on the TAMA tom stands, including the useful ability to arc backward and forward by 100mm for ultimate precision.

Preset Quick-Change Snare Basket Sizing

STAR snare stands can accommodate snare drums from 12 to 15" in diameter, with minimal adjustments. Swapping out snare drums has never been so easy.

True-Sound Insulation Mute

It's widely known that the vibrations of a cymbal or drum will transfer to the stand, causing the natural sound to be partially absorbed by the pipe. To maximize isolation and bring out the true sound of cymbals and toms, an inner pipe mute is equipped on the top pipe of all STAR series stands.

Glide-Tite Grip Joint

The new Glide-Tite Grip Joint allows for a more secure attachment by using a metal-to-metal contact point. This provides an extremely solid anchor and complete isolation for the snare drum. Because the stand does not move with the instrument, the natural resonance of that instrument is maximized.

Oversized Rubber Feet with Retractable Spike

Extra-large rubber feet offer great stability, and retractable spikes provide even more support when needed.

Cradle-Hold Snare Basket

Since no vertical post is needed to adjust the spread of this snare basket, you can achieve a much lower position. Simply by loosening the T-nut, you can adjust the length of the arm. The claws of the snare drum basket provide minimum contact with the snare drum, maximizing resonance while still securing the drum to the stand.
