The Thor Coax Bidirectional CATV RF over Fiber Transmitter & Receiver Kit provides transmission and receiver devices to replicate and simulate the bidirectional RF point-to-point communication of coaxial cable runs over two fibers. It is compatible with cable/internet services and is suitable for use with CATV interactive and fast cable internet service, where bidirectional signals are sent back and forth. The transmitter and receiver convert electrical RF signals to optical in both directions simultaneously. It supports encrypted CATV, Clear QAM, ATSC modulated RF, and analog modulated RF PAL and NTSC. The kit requires two single-mode fibers, and Thor recommends SC/APC fiber connectors to eliminate any reflections.
