Thor Fiber Optical Mini CATV RF Overview
Transmit analog or digital RF signals over long distances with this Fiber Optical Mini CATV RF 45-1000 MHz Transmitter from Thor. This compact module provides a BNC input for QAM/ATSC analog or digital video, phone, or data that outputs a digital signal with a transmission range of 3 to 18.6 miles over optical fiber. A built-in advanced DFB laser boosts the RF signal and internal performance monitoring provides equipment stability. The transmitter can be paired with an optional Thor fiber RF receiver.
- 45 to 1000 MHz working bandwidth
- High-performance DFB coaxial laser that has a great linking performance and stable output
- Advanced CPU processing and an auto-monitoring system to supervise the operational status, which leads to a longer life of the laser
- Low power loss design (less than 8W), which creates a very low operational temperature
NOTES: It is very important to interface this unit with the Thor SC/APC Angle Polished Connector to avoid any light reflections.
If your fiber is terminated with the SC, ST, FC /PC flat connector, you need to use an optical jumper from PC type to SC/APC for proper conversion.
