Videotel Digital SENSE Smart Motion Detector Sensor System

Engage your audience in museums, art galleries, or other interactive display applications using this SENSE Smart Motion Detector Sensor System from Videotel Digital. The system includes an optical sensor and a control box, which allows you to control the motion detection range of the sensor. Select within a range of 2.7 to 15.3' for curious individuals to trigger a video of your choice. The RJ46 I/O ports connect the control box to the sensor and corresponding Videotel Digital media player.

Connections

• The SENSE can connect to any Videotel Digital media player with a separately available 4-pin I/O cable. Use the media player's SD card to facilitate file playing. Additional SENSE control units can be daisy chained together using the RJ45 ports and control/link cables.
• Either I/O jack on the box can be used for media players, RS-232 protocols, TTl, or a dry contact trigger. When a power connection is present the corresponding LED turns green and when the IR sensor detects something the corresponding LED turns blue.

Load Different Media Files

When connected to a player of your choice, the SENSE unit can have up to four videos preloaded. The videos must be labelled in a sequential order, with video 000.mov playing on loop before sensor activation and 001.mov to play once the sensor is activated.

Adjust Distance and Delay

The distance dial on the control box can be adjusted from 2.7 to 15.3'. The delay dial indicates how long an individual must stand in front of the sensor before the video is triggered. The middle dial is how long after the individual leaves the sensor range that the video changes again.

Connect a Dry Contact Switch

The SENSE can be used as a dry contact switch wherein the sensor detects a person or object an internal relay is toggled from normally open to normally closed for as long as the detection lasts. Connect the included power/trigger cable to the control box and add a 5 VDC power supply to operate in this mode. The two inside connections then become the switch.
