Improving on the performance of their earlier model, the Vixen Optics PF-L II Polarie 5x20 Polar Scope steps down the magnification from 6x to make the reticle easier to see and more readable�resulting in a more accurate alignment and thus more precise tracking. An illuminated star field reticle clearly shows the star pattern around the Northern pole, and to polar align your scope, simply line up the three stars on the reticle with the three corresponding stars in the sky. Vixen eliminated the hour angle and instead utilizes a companion Android or iOS smartphone app for a more streamlined experience. Powered by one included CR2032 battery, the reticle is illuminated in red to preserve night-adjusted vision with eight selectable brightness levels and auto-off after two minutes. The Polarie's simplified reticle and usage make this an essential accessory to your compatible Vixen equatorial mount.
