Ideal for corporate presentations, stage performances, or events, the USB to Audio Direct Box from Kopul makes it easy to convert your computer's digital audio to a balanced analog signal that can be sent to PA systems, recorders, or broadcast mixing consoles. This DI box is completely class compliant, allowing it to function immediately, without any need to install drivers, and operates entirely on USB bus power.
This rugged metal device sports two 3-pin XLR outputs with a convenient stereo or mono summing switch, which can allow you to send two mono tracks, one to each speaker, regardless of distance. With balanced, transformer isolated outputs, you can ensure interference-free, quality audio, no matter the location, with absolutely minimal hassle.
If you think the only way to send your computer's audio to a PA system or mixing board is via the headphone output jack, you'll be thrilled to know about the PSI-USB Direct Box. It plugs into a USB port and converts your computer's digital audio to an analog signal that you can send to a recording device, PA system, or mixing board. Add the audio you recorded or sequenced on your computer to a recording session, or add a soundtrack to a video or film.
The XLR outputs send a balanced signal that's free of radio-frequency and electromagnetic interference. Even on long cable runs that traverse a studio or stage with audio or lighting cabling, your tracks will reach the PA system or recorder in pristine condition.
The PSI-USB is made with transformer-isolated balanced stereo outputs that will eliminate unwanted hum from ground loops. This feature is especially useful when feeding computer audio to a live sound system, especially when a projector is connected to your computer. Isolation transformers are also extremely effective at reducing high-frequency noise, so your audience won't hear unwanted hiss either.
When the stereo output option is selected, the PSI-USB outputs a 2-channel stereo signal. But when you're feeding audio to a PA system, you have the option of summing your stereo mix and sending two mono tracks to each speaker. Even if you're using only one PA speaker with your system, your audience will hear a full mix no matter where they're sitting.
The PSI-USB doesn't need a power cable or an external power source. It runs on the power from your USB port, so no matter where you are, you can use this direct box to feed the audio to a PA or mixer.
Rugged Metal Construction
This direct box features rugged metal construction. It's road ready whether it's rattling around in a gear bag, guitar case, or in your coat pocket. When you pull it out it will be ready to go.
