Manfrotto LL LR2457JM Overview
The Manfrotto TriFlash by Joe McNally is a further refinement of the original TriFlash. In use, sometimes the positioning of the IR sensor can become problematic. This Joe McNally version features unique rotating shoes for all 3 flashes to ensure that the sensor on each flash "sees" the on-camera master flash. The mount also features an umbrella receptacle and a 5/8" (16 mm) stand mount.

Manfrotto LL LR2457JM Reviews
well built and sturdy
I've attached three expensive speedlites to this bracket and felt confident they were secure, and are completely adjustable in all directions.
Overall good product, but overpriced with some corners cut
I see reviews from several years ago in which people had problems mounting a speedlight, getting it secure, or weak tension springs on the cold-shoe pivots. Those issues seem to be solve -- at least, I had no such issues. My Nikon SB-910, SB-700 and LumoPro LP180 all mount securely without issues. The unit is compact, smaller than I expected. (See the attached photo for a comparison with a LumoPro umbrella swivel.) Beside the benefit when packing, a minor downside is that the knobs for the side cold shoes end up being a bit close to the knobs for the umbrella mount. Its not a big issue, but a bit more space between knobs would be helpful for big fingers. Another potential concern with the small size is how it will handle weight. It did fine holding two LP-180s, an SB-910 plus a 7 b/w reflective umbrella -- see the attached photo. My complaint is that this is overpriced and that some corners were cut. First, it has a 3/8 and 1/4-20 adapter spigot, but its made of aluminum or some cheaper white metal; for the price, it should have included a solid brass spigot. (See the photo comparing with the LP 679-2.) The aluminum spigot reduces weight, but it will quickly get torn up when you tighten it into the umbrella swivel. (Im surprised Joe McNally would put his name on this!) I would immediately replace it. A brass spigot would only have added about $3 to the BOM cost, but that will be an extra cost to you. Also, for the price, I would have expected some additional niceties. For one, the hole for the umbrella shaft is circular (about 9mm). I would have expected an opening with an angled or beveled side opposite the set screw to hold the shaft better and keep it from turning. (Compare the opening in the LP 679-2 in the photo, or the opening in the Manfrotto Lite-Tite swivel.) In addition, I would have liked to see holes drilled in the cold shoe for the securing pins on Nikon, LumoPro and other brand speedlights. Its well-built (except for the aluminum spigot), very functional, and the pivotint cold shoe is a nice feature for IR triggering. But Im left debating whether its worth the price. The Westcott Triple Threat Speedlite Bracket may not have cold shoes that pivot, but its less than 1/3 the price (if you already have an umbrella swivel mount).
Almost perfect
The only cons: - expensive - spigot is aluminum (I prefer brass).
Just what I needed!
Excellent product. Well built and made.
Useful and solid
I have several brackets for mounting multiple speedlights inside studio modifiers. Each seems to have a different strength. What I like about this one is that it is relatively compact and that I can rotate the flash within a softbox or brolly to make the light even or to exaggerate the falloff to one side. At this writing I've used it a handful of times and have found it to work as advertised.
Highly disappointed
The product worked well for 1 year, later the screws with tightens the fitting of the flash become very rigid. One of the head is completely unusable and other head screw is so tight to operate .. not a good option for those who are looking for durable and stronger solution. Only good for its look, worst in durability,
Quality built bracket
Wanting to get more light for those photo shoots. This is a great product to add 1-3 flashes to your photo shoot. Has an umbrella mount that you can soften the light or bounce your light from a reflective umbrella.
Easy Speed Light Tool
This item is essential for a photographer who uses Speed Lights for lighting. The ability to rotate the units so that each of them can see the iTTL information from the control unit is head and shoulders above other multiple flash mounts out there. The unit is well built and offers click adjustments on the individual cold shoes. The angle adjusting wheel is much better to use in my opinion than a thumbscrew. What you get for the money is a well built and well thought out tool. It should be in every shooters bag that uses Speed Lights.
