Behold the worlds first medieval electronic instrument! The teenage engineering EP�1320 Medieval Instrumentalis Electronicum is a middle-ages-themed sampler and composer with hundreds of built-in live-recorded medieval samples, sounds, and instruments. All handcrafted medieval instruments have been meticulously sampled and are playable across the 12 pads.

The EP�1320 features 128MB of total storage with 96MB of hardwired medieval sounds and 32MB of user sample storage. Sample, edit, compose, and perform, all in one machine. There's even a built-in microphone and speaker for spontaneous inspiration. The powerful sequencer is easy to use and includes seven medieval effects and 12 punch-in Pocus effects that are exclusive to the Medieval's pads, chop, and loop functions.

Playable Medieval Instruments

Alongside a bucketful of one-shot samples, the EP�1320 Instrumentalis Electronicum features a number of readily playable medieval instruments. Play them on the paeds or on an external MIDI keyboard.

• Among the stringed instruments are hurdy gurdy, citole, bowed harp, and gittern.
• Reeds and brass include bagpipes, shawn, flutes, and trumpets.
• Drums and percussion hits including frame drums, tambourines, chain rattles, battle toms, clappers, bells, and coconut horse hooves.
• Various Foley and sound effects such as swords, arrows, farm animals, no less than two separate witches, rowdy peasants, and an actual dragon.
